Meet The Gingerbread Man

Between flower girls, maternity sessions, and pretty high school seniors, we manage to squeeze in some real men for some intense sports portraits.  Meet Paul Bird - a Des Moines area Ultimate Fighter who is undefeated as a pro.  Paul has traveled the world, including training in Thailand, in search of the perfect can of whoop ass and seems to have found it.  Paul is referred to in the ultimate fighting world as ”The Gingerbread Man” (as in you can’t catch me).  We hope the images help celebrate Paul’s success in the cage.  You can catch The Gingerbread Man in action at the Midwest Cage Championship Tournament at the BUCCS Arena on Hickman on April 25th.

A sports image composite from Paul’s session.  For inspiration I had Paul give me a few jabs to the head and this is what I saw.

You look great mate-sorry i will be in Australia for the next fight, but me and my Aussie mates will drink to your health and well being-not worried about the other guy! The action shot is way cool-kudos to the photographer-he does great work. Your proud Dad

No ‘flys’ on this ‘Bird’ who looks ready to ’soar’ with a few wingers in the right places. No wonder you are proud. Wishing you a nice trip home. I’m leaving for S. Africa April 27th and safari land, riding elephants and the like, but still have to plan a trip to Australia before I end up in one of those ‘comfortable places where they give you exercise classes sitting in a chair and help you thread beads!
